Rules & Regulations

Adherence to these norms ensures a peaceful environment for all readers.

Silence & Decorum

Perfect silence and proper decorum must be maintained at all times within the library premises to ensure a peaceful reading environment.

No F&B

Eating, drinking, chewing gum or any form of disruptive behaviour is strictly prohibited inside the library.

Handle with Care

Students must handle books and other library materials with utmost care. Tearing pages, marking, underlining, writing in books or causing any damage is strictly prohibited.

Library Card

Students of Classes VI to XII are permitted to borrow books upon producing a valid Library Card. The Library Card is non-transferable. In case of loss, a duplicate card will be issued on payment of ₹100/- as a lost fine.

Reference Materials

Reference Books, Encyclopaedias, dictionaries, rare books, periodicals, newspapers and other specified materials are meant for use within the library only and shall not be issued.

Borrowing Policy

Each student may borrow one book at a time for a period of seven days only. Books must be returned on or before the due date. A fine of ₹ 10/- per day will be charged for books returned after the due date.

Renewal

Renewal of books may be granted on request at the discretion of Librarian, if no other reader has reserved the book.

Loss or Damage

In case of loss or damage to a borrowed book, the borrower shall either replace the same book or pay the current price.

Authority Note

"No library material shall be taken out of the Library without the permission of the Librarian. The Librarian reserves the right to suspend library privileges for violation of library rules."
